College/School Administrators Forum
The Forum provides an opportunity for senior administrative staff in key roles in the University to meet together to identify, explore and progress areas of common problems or concern. It is usually attended by invited experts/specialists who can contribute to the shared understanding of policy, procedure, system or people issues and is a mechanism for collective feedback into college/school service providers. In addition, the group can be especially supportive of staff who are new to their role.
School Office Managers
This recently formed network brings together staff with a managerial role in the busy and challenging school office environment. It is intended that the network will provide a platform to explore common concerns and consider appropriate improvements to practice in order to enhance the experience for all school office users. It is also hoped that this network will provide a supportive space for staff who are often at the front line of customer service.
Salford Technical Staff
Around the University, there are a many members of staff providing technical support for units, schools and colleges. The group is designed to provide support for many of the technicians who are working alone, to meet and network with others who understand the diversity of this role, discuss issues that are relevant to you and help each other through this time of uncertainly.
HEaTED aims to provide tools and opportunities that not only meet the professional needs of technical staff, but also support the requirements of UK HEIs and the constantly changing education sector. Currently, HEaTED enables UK HE technicians to network as a community and it aims to represent technical and specialist staff within HEIs on a national platform, with a view to improving professional recognition within the sector. As Salford is a member of the HEaTED community, staff can participate in local, regional and national activities to enhance their professionalism and share their practice.
