Human Resource Management 
SAP is the software chosen by the University of Salford to maintain its human resource records and run its payrolls. The modules used by the University include Travel Management, PT Hourly administration and Manager's Desktop. For further information, regarding training please click on the above link.

Student Information Directorate 
Training on Banner Student Information System (SIS) is offered by dedicated trainers who work as part of the SID Development Team. They offer training to all staff who use Banner SIS. 

Student Information Directorate – Logistics Team 
CMIS training is carried out, on a one to one basis, at your desk. There are three types of training available: ‘Full User’ training for users who will be inputting and amending CMIS core data and creating/amending timetable teaching events, ad-hoc room booking training for users who will be booking a divisional meeting and possibly specialist rooms, and ‘View Only’ training for users who only need to view timetable data. 

Careers and Employability
A range of support is offered to all staff who would like to improve any aspect of their career. The support given can be via face to face, Skype or CV Clinic. 

Languages for All 
The Languages for All (LFA) programme is open to all staff and includes beginner's level Finnish, French, German and Spanish as well as other popular languages. The LFA team has also previously offered British Sign Language classes

 

Manchester Agreement

The University of Salford, the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University have a local agreement where members of staff from any of these organisations can attend training and development at any one of the 3 universities hosting the training.

 HSE 
HSE is the national independent watchdog for work-related health, safety and illness.  They are an independent regulator and act in the public interest to reduce work-related death and serious injury across Great Britain’s workplaces.
 JISC
 

JISC helps UK colleges and universities make the best use of technology to manage all aspects of their business. It provides a world-class network (JANET), access to electronic resources, guidance on a wide range of topics (including institutional change, reducing costs, sustainable futures, the student journey and research excellence) as well as advisory and consultancy services and regional support.

Leadership Foundation 
 
The Leadership Foundation provides a dedicated service of support and advice on leadership, governance and management for all the UK's universities and higher education colleges.
 The Higher Education Academy

The Higher Education Academy provide support to the higher education sector by working with individual academics. Their network of discipline-based subject centres provides a range of services to subject departments.
