A warm welcome to the Postgraduate Certificate programme run by Academic Development (HRD) and the College of Arts and Social Sciences.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) is a blended programme designed to support you in your professional development, particularly in enhancement of your learning and teaching practice. The Programme provides a supportive but challenging framework within which participants can develop their knowledge and understanding, skills and practice as academic professionals in Higher Education.

The PGCAP is for new and experienced academics as well as other professionals and GTAs who are teaching and/or supporting learning at the University of Salford. Successful completion of the PGCAP leads to a recognized teaching qualification in Higher Education and to Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Colleagues who would like to participate in the PGCAP for CPD purposes and complete stand-alone modules with or without completing the assessment for each module, are also welcome.

For further details about the PGCAP, please go to the Application Process page and read through the documentation related to the programme. To apply for the programme, please complete the application form and letter of support and send them to the HRD team. If you have any difficulty downloading/completing the forms, please contact the HRD team.

Our next cohort is due to start in September 2013 and we are receiving applications.
