Toolkits
What is a ‘Toolkit’?
Toolkit is the term used to describe a small collection of resources relating to one topic or activity, for example, ‘Recruitment and Selection’ or ‘Having Difficult Conversations’. They provide you with just-in-time access to a range of information to help you learn and develop.
A typical toolkit might contain:
• An e-learning module
• Bookable events like workshops or face to face development
• Links to useful websites
• Tip sheets
• Recommended reading
Toolkits are often described as ‘blended learning’ because they gather together a blend of different resources to help you learn in the way that best suits you.
They are aimed at all staff so please feel free to access them as and when you need them. Use them to learn about brand new topics and to refresh yourself on familiar things that you just haven’t reflected on for a while, like interpreting a policy or improving your time management skills. Most content is online and readily accessible but the scheduled events do need booking onto in advance so allow yourself plenty of time to fit these in – and book early to avoid disappointment.

Please note: we will be adding extra Toolkits to our range throughout 2012.
