The primary focus of Human Resource Development (HRD) is to provide learning and development opportunities for all staff at the University.
The opportunities we provide are designed to support you in your current role and with the support of your line manager, where appropriate, provide support and development for your future roles.
Toolkits - A Refreshed and Innovative Approach
In previous years, as you will know, we have provided access to a range of staff development events through our annual Employee Development programme. This year we are introducing a refreshed and innovative approach to our provision.
In order to provide a more holistic, flexible and timely resource for staff we have created a range of online 'toolkits'. Toolkit topics have been identified to link to the key priorities and goals of the Strategic Plan and to help support us all through this next transition period.

Employee Support Programme
To support staff being affected by the Transformation Programme, a series of workshop activities and other resources are being provided. The workshops cover:
- Career guidance
- Wellbeing
- Financial advice
All are free for you to attend/access and are designed to equip you with tools to prepare for changed job roles and new opportunities within the University. You may access all or any of them depending on personal preference.
