Health and Wellbeing - Employee Assistance Programme
From 1 December 2010, FirstAssist – a leading provider of life management support – will offer their free services to colleagues.
As part of our commitment to Strategic Goal 4, Our People, HR Health & Wellbeing have chosen to work with FirstAssist to provide holistic support for colleagues through any decisions, issues or difficulties they may face.
The company will offer free support to colleagues relating to any issue of their life – this could include financial problems, family-related concerns or dealing with bereavement, as well as other issues.
An online support area offers a range of advice and related content under sections for home life, work life, emotional health, managers, HR, and physical health.
Colleagues can use services including telephone counselling, face to face counselling, legal and financial information, health and wellbeing advice and managerial consultation and support.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing can provide access to a "Quiet Room". This will allow you to take time out, away from home or place of work to telephone the counselor or access the First Assist web site from a private, confidential and undistrubed environment.
