Occupational Health offers health & wellbeing services to all staff employed at the University of Salford. All medical advice and treatment will be treated with complete confidentiality and no information will be disclosed to your manager without your consent

We offer the following services to support all staff at the University of Salford:
Stop Smoking
Occupational Health can provide 1 to1 sessions, with qualified advisors, plus vouchers are available for replacement therapies. To find out more contact the helpdesk on 0161 295 5425 and we'll give you all the support, resources and information you need to succeed and it's all free!
Blood Pressure
If you suffer with high blood pressure or would like to have your blood pressure checked at work to avoid taking time off to attend external appointments, then contact the Health, Safety & Wellbeing helpdesk on 0161 295 5425.
Health Checks
Occupational Health offers free Health Checks to all staff.
The appointment includes:
- Blood pressure checks
- Cholesterol and glucose testing
- Body Mass Index
- General health advice including exercise and nutrition
- Stop smoking advice

Physiotherapy
The physiotherapy service aims to provide high quality advice, education and treatment for people who suffer with muscular-skeletal problems.
We tackle a broad range of injuries with expert patient care, easing the road to recovery and helping a speedy return to optimal health. We respect the individual's personal needs and offer as much or as little support as they require.
The clinic service is provided twice a week and is open to all staff.

Counselling
We provide a range of confidential counselling services to enable staff to function more effectively in the workplace and in their personal lives. Counselling support is available to staff who have problems in their personal lives as well as in the workplace. These might include stress, depression, bereavement, departmental and career changes.
The Counselling Service is offered by appointment only and must be booked through Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
